雲間
The wind that had been blowing since yesterday had humidity in it.
By the time I visited the old museum in the evening.
It was raining.
In the heavy air, I felt a slight stagnation at the end of the stone stairs.
As I paused on the landing, the soft light made my irises blur.
Perhaps it was a break in the clouds.
A bust, usually forgotten, seemed to smile at me.
The breeze from the stairwell flowed in.
My breath calmed.
I thought I would pay my respects to no one in particular.
